My First Bet

bet

The first time I ever made a bet I had been sixteen yearsold. I looked much older than my era and that I had no League of Legends betting  trouble placing the bet. I’d saved $500 I had earned at the Dairy Queen that summer. As my dad was a gambler I knew exactly about the ponies. By the time I was 12 I knew how to handicap a rushing form. My dad had instructed me. Those were the things that we discussed over dinner.

There is a horse I was after that summer. The horse scarcely won but always appeared to put show. For whatever reason I took a liking for this horse. Or maybe since the horse was always an underdog and that I sympathized with it?

It had been a Tuesday in September once I chose to place my very first bet. I cut school at the day to visit the race track. ‘Do not Tell Helen’ was running at the third race. The odds were piled tremendously contrary to the horse. It was transferred in its class because of this race. And everything my dad had instructed me told me that I should not bet on this horse in this race. But something inside me, call it a minute, explained personally to take the chance.

I bet my $500 on’Do not Tell Helen’ to show.

I didn’t watch the race. I went inside into the bar and also had a cup of java. When the race was finished I assessed that the tote board. I ripped my ticket up and left the race trail.

I wasn’t angry. My dad was a gambler and he had taught me easy come easy go. However, I’d learned my first valuable lesson in gaming.

Never proceed with your own emotions. When it is a feeling or a hunch don’t abide by it. If you are likely to gamble be a professional. Adhere to something and stick to it. And then that’s precisely what I did from the time.
